The dream of generating real, working websites won’t be realized through better layout tools.  It will only happen when UX redefines its practice around semantic structure , not just visual fidelity. As Pavel Samsonov brilliantly put it: “ Figma is not a tool for designing websites. It is a tool for drawing pictures of websites. ” At CanvasEight.io, we’ve seen this firsthand. Layouts are easy to mimic, but translating intent -  the logic, accessibility and behavior behind the UI - requires a semantic foundation.  That’s why we’ve spent years building not just a generator, but an execution layer : Structured code that reflects user flows not just pixels. Components that are accessible, stateful and deployable. A system that starts with meaning not mockups. The irony today is that AI is finally capable of generating production-grade code - most LLMs at least,  but most design tools still feed it garbage.  Without semantic input, even the smartest model ca...

As we rethink the boundaries between human intent and machine execution, the question of what makes no-code developer-friendly becomes less about abstraction and more about semantic fidelity . Developers don’t just build interfaces. They encode logic, context and meaning.  So a no-code tool that aims to serve them must do more than generate output; it must preserve intent , enable traceability  and invite iteration . This is where the concept of modular manifolds offers a compelling lens.  If we treat each module not as a static block but as a semantic container, a living interface between design and logic; we begin to see no-code differently .  Not as a shortcut, but as a semantic scaffold for structured thinking. A developer-friendly no-code tool might: Translate natural language into interpretable, modular code  not just functional, but explainable. Preserve design semantics from tools like Figma, including accessibility, hierarchy and user role...

Lately we’ve been experimenting with new applications by leaning on AI to push the boundaries of what can be built quickly. In just weeks, we’ve created enhanced MVPs across very different domains: a new take on CRM systems, a psychotherapy tool that uses advanced ML models to help therapists structure and analyze sessions and a platform for organic social growth that uses AI to target audiences and connect with the right collaborators. More interestingly, we’ve begun developing our own internal alternatives to external engagement channels, still in the experimental phase but the goal is to eventually manage these activities entirely in-house. It’s another exploration, promising and aligned with our broader vision. The speed and structure at which these prototypes come together is what’s most interesting; ideas that once would take 3-6 months of work are now at best a couple of weeks projects. We believe the most compelling startup and prototype ideas don’t emerge from isolated brain...

Figma-to-code tools promise fast design-to-dev handoffs, but they often deliver messy code and limited functionality. Startups don’t fail because of poor designs - they fail because they can’t ship scalable systems fast enough. At http://CanvasEight.io , we’re rethinking this. Instead of chasing pixel-perfect exports, we focus on semantic code structure and intent. Our platform maps designs to logic, data and user flows, scaffolding infrastructure-aligned modules in real time. Builders iterate on behavior, not just visuals. We're not building another plugin or code generator - but a semantic-first compiler for product intent, collapsing the time from idea to traction and freeing designers to focus on creativity and developers on logic creation.

Over the weekend I read a compelling professional capstone dissertation from a promising digital transformation professional at the Paris School of Technology and Business. Over the past two months we’ve been discussing the persistent tensions in current design-to-code solutions and the difficulty of delivering a truly comprehensive workflow for both designers and developers. This interaction helped me surface challenges that many UI/UX designers rarely voice publicly and especially those navigating Figma workflows with frustrating handoffs. Design-to-code platforms are evolving quickly but the real gaps remain in execution, integration and production readiness. For CanvasEight.io we’ve been focused on closing those gaps for modern product teams. 1. ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง–๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ž Most AI tools stop at static exports. When I wrote in July about our semantic-first approach at CanvasEight.io, we’d just crossed the 70% mark for accurate, intent-aware code generation from Figma designs. We’re now at 80%+ and improving weekly , driven by new technology aimed at deeper backend structures and greater interoperability. Semantic translation was only the first layer - the real challenge has been pushing past entropy to execution. We want anyone to build semantic structured code into production ready code and our core proposition is simple but radical: semantic-first, AI-powered design-to-code conversion - a transformative alternative to no-code tools.  Over the past months, we’ve been building the execution layer : turning generated code into deployable, production-ready modules, wrappers and full application scaffolds.  We have finally achieved a far improved semantic structure in our code generation narrowing design intent and a running product . And this year’s shift in the AI landscape makes it ...
